Ilia Salita, the president and chief executive of GPG, said: “Our vision at GPG is to contribute to the continued growth of Jewish life in the UK by focusing on hard-to-reach and under-engaged populations.
“With that in mind, we are supporting four organizations of crucial importance to the UK Jewish community as they strive to widen their reach and deepen their impact.
“We are certain that this series of grants will add to the robust fabric of Jewish life in the UK by helping our partners to have a sustainable impact for years to come.”
GPG, co-founded by Mr Fridman, aims to help Jews to develop their Jewish identity, primarily focused on – but not limited to – the Russian-speaking community.
Jonathan Goldstein, the chairman of the Jewish Leadership Council, said: "I am delighted Genesis Philanthropy Group is increasing its investment in the UK Jewish community.
“Its commitment to design, deliver and support initiatives that enrich Jewish life and engage individuals across all walks of life is remarkable.
“Given GPG’s track record here in the UK and beyond, we at the JLC are confident that these initiatives will enhance our Jewish identity, culture and, indeed, our future.”
