Suella Braverman was among the speakers as Bushey United Synagogue commemorated Yom HaShoah on Monday.

The Home Secretary stressed the government’s commitment to fighting antisemitism and support for the Westminster Holocaust Memorial. The congregation of 250 was also addressed by survivor Janine Webber and Hertfordshire Lord Lieutenant Robert Voss, who spoke of his family’s experiences during the Holocaust.

The shul’s Rabbi Elchonon Feldman said it was “incredibly supportive of Holocaust education. This event had literally everything. A packed synagogue listening to two testimonies and some incredibly encouraging words from an Holocaust Educational Trust young ambassador and one of our own members, who had recently visited the camps. We must never forget. “
