Rabbi Daniel Fine is joining educational charity Seed as schools director.

As a teen, the London-born minister won gold medals for football at the JCC Maccabi Games. After 12 years in Israel, he has spent the last five years as a sixth-form teacher at Hasmonean and as the community rabbi at Stanmore Synagogue, attracting young families to the shul.

During lockdown, Rabbi Fine was one of the prime movers behind the Shabbaton at Home initiative and Kabbalat Shabbat online. He holds a law and management degree from LSE, is a trained counsellor and has authored four books, the most recent a resource for Shabbat table discussions.

His wife Janine is from Manchester and the couple live in Edgware with their five children.

“Excited to be working with the Seed team,” Rabbi Fine added: “There’s nothing more important and rewarding than helping families with the tools to raise the next generation.”
