David Cohen has emulated his father Howard by being chosen as head boy of JFS for 2017-18.

“It’s amazing and even more special that I’ve followed in my father’s footsteps,” he said. “I’m looking forward to working with the JFS leadership team on behalf of the student body.”

David, from Oakwood, is taking economics, English and history for his A-levels; his father, who was head boy in 1980-81, is a solicitor.

Announcing the full results of a vote held on Thursday, JFS revealed its new head boy and head girl team.

Ilana Cantor will be head girl, assisted by deputies Georgie Isaacson and Becca Cope Thompson.

David Cohen will be assisted by Joshua Korber Hoffman and Samson Tausig as his deputy head boys.
