Range of McVitie’s biscuits including Hobnobs now approved by United Synagogue Kashrut division

Digestives and milk and dark chocolate Hobnobs authorised where batch code begins in "H"

Good news for the sweet-toothed is that the United Synagogue’s kashrut division, KLBD, has approved a range of McVitie’s biscuits, including milk and dark chocolate Hobnobs.

Original, lights and milk and dark chocolate digestives are also approved, although plain Hobnobs are not.

In all cases, the KLBD approval applies only to products where the batch code begins in “H” as they originate from a factory which is kosher certified.

KLBD director Rabbi Jeremy Conway said it was “delighted to be able to update its kosher product list to include six McVitie’s biscuits. KLBD works tirelessly throughout the year to research thousands of regular products available across the UK in our quest to help make keeping kosher ever easier, wherever you are in the UK.”

The Sephardi Kashrut Authority previously also approved McVitie's products.
