An online Jewish studies programme is being held in memory of Maureen Kendler, the popular adult educator who died three years ago.

The three-part series has been organised by 2020 Torah, a digital learning initiative set up by Tamra Wright, the London School of Jewish Studies’ former director of academic studies.

The first two talks were given last week by Judy Klitsner, from the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, and Dr Wright, with Rabbi Sam Lebens from Haifa University due to deliver the third on Tuesday evening.

Hayden Kendler, who was Mrs Kendler's husband, said: “Maureen would have jumped at the chance to present at one of these sessions. So it is truly wonderful that three of her dear colleagues have stepped up and are presenting in her memory.”

Sessions are free but participants are asked to make donations to the Maureen Kendler Educational Trust.

2020 Torah is also organising  Zooom Megillah readings for Purim.
