The S & P Sephardi Community will be moving its offices from Maida Vale to North London, with an independent Jewish nursery taking up the space.
S & P chief executive David Arden said a lease agreement had been signed with La Petite Nursery to occupy the existing administrative office space, “bringing new young Jewish families onto our campus — and with it, new energy and potential for membership”.
He expected the S & P administration’s move to the unnamed North London site to be completed by May.
Senior S & P rabbi, Joseph Dweck, said the relocation would allow the movement to operate “from a modern working space that is fit for purpose which will benefit every aspect of the community”.
Building work on the nursery premises will be required before its September opening.
The nursery’s Sarah Zaoui said La Petite would be a place where “children can safely learn and grow in the utmost respect of Jewish values and traditions”.
