Anthony Andrews, Claire Bloom, Diana Quick, Nickolas Grace and other Brideshead Revisited stars reminisced in the company of Nightingale Hammerson supporters at a fundraising tea at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Knightsbridge.

Also at the event were those who worked backstage on the series, among them assistant costume designer Joy Kleiner Meier, whose mother is a Nightingale House resident.

Auction lots included a tour and lunch at Castle Howard, near York, where the series was filmed and the 130 guests took advantage of the opportunity to ask cast and crew members about their experiences on the programme.
The event raised £20,000.
