Nightingale Hammerson will take over the administration of the Abbeyfield Camden Jewish Society's Belmont Lodge home in Bushey from the beginning of next month. It will also work to increase occupancy at the 12-flat home, which currently has five residents.
As previously reported, ACJS has been in talks with Nightingale over the future of the property. Welcoming the agreement, Nightingale Hammerson chair Harvey Rosenblatt was "delighted that ACJS have selected Nightingale to build upon the excellent work which they have done over so many years at Belmont Lodge. There is great synergy between our organisations, which have a shared ethos in relation to the well-being and quality of life of older Jewish people."
ACJS chair Nicola Solomons was "greatly comforted by the fact that the future of Belmont Lodge will be in such good hands. Nightingale Hammerson is well known for its work with older Jewish people and has an excellent track record going back many years."
