Broadcaster Martyn Lewis was big news at the second annual Jewish community trustee event organised by Lead, the JLC’s leadership development division.
Mr Lewis gave the keynote address at the event, run in partnership with the Jewish Volunteering Network and hosted by City law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner. The 85 attendees represented 35 communal organisations.
Workshops covered issues such as succession planning, board performance and mergers and partnerships. Lead advisory board member Debbie Fox told participants: “After the feedback we received from last year’s launch, we realised there was huge interest from trustees in developing the more tangible skills that they require in executing their duties. The desire to learn more, share more, collaborate more and continually improve was exciting to us.”
Executive director Nicky Goldman was “delighted that our event attracted so many communal leaders to share expertise and best practice”.
