Promoters of good deeds from Pinner to Poland are among those short-listed for the Mitzvah Day awards, organised in partnership with the JC.
Pinner Synagogue features in the category for inter-generational activity, the theme of Mitzvah Day 2017. Its young baked cakes for a residential home and there was also a tea with bingo which brought all ages together.
The Polish community, nominated for the international award, was Wroclaw, which focused on supporting Jewish children from large families or those being raised by a single parent.
St Albans Masorti’s Nick Grant and Langdon’s Sonia Muscovitch are among those up for outstanding individual.
