Sunridge Court will retain its ethos and most of its staff under plans revealed today

An upcoming merger will see Sunridge Court in Golders Green become part of Jewish Care.

Residents, relatives, staff and other key stakeholders of the home have been informed of the development.

Sunridge was established as a non-Orthodox home more than 50 years ago by a group of Reform and Liberal families and a number of the current board are descendants of the founding families. The home maintains close links with both communities.

The plan is for Sunridge to join Jewish Care’s portfolio of homes while retaining its ethos and practices. Most of its staff will be retained.

In a joint statement, Sunridge Court executive director Rachel Jones and Jewish Care chief executive, Daniel Carmel-Brown said that with people living longer, “more specialist care will be needed going forwards.

“We are driven by the needs and aspirations of the growing number of older people in the community and providing them with the continued excellent care they have experienced.”
