Jami, the Jewish community’s mental health service, has appointed Doug Krikler as its new chairman.

Mr Krikler, formerly chief executive of UJIA, replaces Lionel Curry — who becomes a life president of the charity.

The announcement follows a strategic partnership between Jami and Jewish Care, the community’s largest social services provider, in 2012.

Jami chief executive Laurie Rackind said: “Lionel Curry was a fantastic chair and did so much for Jami. Doug will undoubtedly be instrumental in taking the organisation to the next level.”
