The biggest question of the night went unanswered when Shtisel star Michael Aloni addressed fans at a JNF event in Manchester.
During the Q&A at Prestwich Hebrew Congregation, Aloni was asked about progress towards a third series of the Charedi soap, which has won a loyal international following through its streaming on Netflix.
He answered that it was in God’s hands before moving swiftly on to other matters.
JNF brought the Israeli actor back to the UK to address Manchester and Mill Hill audiences after sell-out events in spring.
The latest shows were equally popular with 500 fans snapping up tickets.
As on his previous visit, the actor spoke about his career, and specifically about his role as Kive Shtisel, discussing the effort that went into depicting the world that his character inhabits.
The events also showcased JNF’s work in supporting lonely Holocaust survivors in Israel, which resonated with the speaker, who has two grandparents who are survivors.
