Play deals with the violence and issues involved in growing up in London's East End

East, by Steven Berkoff, is to be revived at the King’s Head Theatre, where it made its London debut in 1975. The play, which originally debuted in Edinburgh, deals with the violence and issues involved in growing up in London's East End. It is written in verse.

The revival, which has a cast of five, was announced by the theatre, which is located in Islington, today. It will open in January and run for six weeks.
