“They kept taking pictures of me with my son which is inexcusable. It made him feel uncomfortable. My children should not be a target.”
Mr Collier has been behind several investigations into Labour antisemitism. He revealed Jeremy Corbyn had been a member of the infamous Facebook group Palestine Live, which was rife with Holocaust denial.
Brighton and Hove Palestine Solidarity Campaign had set up a stall at the clock tower which is central to Brighton’s shopping area and is often used as a meeting point.
He added: “It was just an obvious place for me to meet up with my family after we had all been in different shops. I wasn’t doing anything to bother the stall I was just sitting there waiting. But then people started taking my picture which I thought is a bit creepy.
“I don’t know why they just didn’t leave me alone. It is harassment and obviously my son felt uncomfortable. They wouldn’t stop. Every time I turned my head one way they would try and take a photo.”
The @BrightonPSC Twitter account published a picture of Mr Collier sitting on a wall outside of a shop.
“We do hope anti-Palestinian zionist blogger David Collier @mishtal (or his doppelganger) enjoyed his wasted visit to Brighton checking out our stall,” it wrote.
