He added: “To see an odious man with that kind of record lauded as a hero is very sad for Jewish people and indeed any freedom-loving person in this country.”
Two years ago Mr Fraser stood for election in Hackney, where he and the other candidates were given the opportunity to speak. He therefore prepared a speech for last night’s results, but was not allowed to read it.
“I had actually planned to say more than I did,” Mr Fraser told the JC.
“For a start, I was going to call [Mr Corbyn] ‘Jezbollah’ and then commiserate with the people of Islington who did not have the cojones to wake up and smell the coffee.”
Describing himself as “a man of mischief but voice of reason”, Mr Fraser, who lives in Woodside Park in north London, runs a speaking and training consultancy whose catchline is ‘Cojones: grow a pair for success’.
