Alan Dershowitz has admitted that his views on Donald Trump have led to family arguments, lost friendships and embarrassment.
The Harvard Law school professor, long known for his liberal views, has been a regular on Fox news, the American President’s favourite TV channel, putting forward his views that Trump should not face an obstruction of justice charge.
Trump tweeted about this early in December – to Dershowitz’s dismay.
A must watch: Legal Scholar Alan Dershowitz was just on @foxandfriends talking of what is going on with respect to the greatest Witch Hunt in U.S. political history. Enjoy!

“It’s caused me to lose seven pounds,” Dershowitz told Politico. “My liberal friends don’t invite me to dinner anymore.”
He added: “My really, really close friends say, ‘You’re 100 percent right in your analysis, but can’t you just shut the f–k up and not talk at all,’” he said. “They tell me, ‘This is a time for selective silence.’"
And the 79-year-old said that his family is suffering too. “I was a source of pride to my kids, my grandkids,” he said. “Now it’s ‘Oy, he’s related to Alan Dershowitz.’ That hurts me a little bit.”
