Newcastle Partnership's chair steps down

Barry Speker, the longest-serving chair of the Newcastle Partnership, has stepped down from his role. The Newcastle Partnership — which brings together a range of public, private, community and voluntary sector groups — announced the news at its annual meeting. Mr Speker, a senior partner at law firm Samuel Phillips, has also been honorary solicitor for Newcaste United Hebrew Congregation for the past 17 years.
