Former Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser thinks that the failure to negotiate with Hamas was “perhaps the major mistake of the Bush administration”.
This has not gone down well with Mark Leibler, the chairman of the Australia/Israel & Jewish Affairs Council, who accused Fraser of “contradictions, factual errors and naivete”.
Fraser retorted: “When the [Israel] lobby runs out of arguments they attack the person.” Ouch.
