Lydia Lucy is priming her vocal chords for Saturday night when she bids to become The Voice of 2016 in the final of BBC1's song contest.
Though not Jewish, she can be considered an associate member of the tribe as a singer with top simchah band Totem.
"I can't wait," she said ahead of the climax to the competition which will feature her duetting with her coach will.i.am. "I've been rehearsing every day and will continue to work hard right through to the very end."
Lydia has been keeping party audiences on their feet with Totem for more than two years. "My fave simchah song is Od Yavo Shalom Aleinu," she said. "I love it when we do it as the last song of the night, it is always so powerful."
