Lisa, 23, lives in Hampstead Garden Suburb and is an account manager for a digital software company. Stanmore-based Mike, 24, is an analyst for an oil company. Lisa's other loves are food, reading and socialising and she has completed three charity half-marathons to raise money for breast cancer. Mike is "a complete geek with a passion for anything that has buttons or flashing lights". He also enjoys running and has accompanied Lisa on charity runs. They are preparing to move into a flat in Hampstead and will marry in March 2011.
● How we met
"During our final year at Manchester University, funnily enough straight after a J-Soc event," Lisa says. "We coincidentally went to my friend's house having never previously met. But we didn't speak until we shared a cab back to our respective houses. Mike asked me for my phone number, but three days later, nothing. I took a brave step and added him on Facebook. The banter then started and we went for a coffee and immediately hit it off. Having read my Facebook profile, Mike pretended to like/dislike the same things as me and I also discovered his fear of fruit and veg. He was once offered £50 to eat a strawberry, but he declined. Mike adds: "I did forget to call her after she gave me her number. But I knew she was the one as soon as she walked into that coffee shop. Even though I'm possibly the most impatient person in the world, I was willing to wait for Lisa."
● The proposal
"It was in Cape Town in December and for the first time in my life I was rendered speechless," Lisa recalls. "Having been for an early morning run, then on a bus tour around the city and a wander around the market, I was delighted for the chance to lie outside in the sun and read. I saw Mike walk up an outdoor staircase to a balcony. He called me to go up so he could show me something. When told to 'look over there', I noticed Mike was not next to me anymore so I turned around to find him on one knee, with a beautiful ring. I didn't think he was being serious, then I realised he was still on his knee, came to my senses and said yes."
● The wedding
"We will be married in Central Synagogue, Great Portland Street, and the party will be at the Dorchester," the couple say. "We'd love to honeymoon in Australia but it hasn't been decided yet."
