Limmud Conference is a unique and magical cross-communal, cross-generational festival of Jewish learning & culture in the UK. Referred to as the "Jewish Edinburgh Festival" by The Guardian and "the jewel in our community's crown" by The JC, Limmud Conference has grown into what The Times called "the world’s biggest Jewish educational get together".
This video was made during Limmud Conference 2005 at the University of Nottingham. After a decade based on that site, Limmud finally outgrew Nottingham and moved to it's new and improved location of The University of Warwick in 2007, where it still returns each December.
This 9 minute film tries to capture the spirit of the description from Israeli national newspaper Haaretz: "By any yardstick, it is an impressive event: Supremely organized by volunteers, offering a sumptuous menu of lectures and a cornucopia of food, drink, music, fun and friendship".
