RECIPE

#Passoverhacks Jewelled matzah bark

articlemain

This pretty-as-a-picture snack is dinner party-ready in minutes. A perfect gift for your Seder night host or for anyone really. Children will go mad for it.

Mix it up by using other fruits and nuts or try melting 40g of dark chocolate and 40g of white chocolate and marbling them together before adding the fruit and nuts.

  • Melt the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl — either sit the bowl over a pan of gently simmering water or microwave in 30 second bursts, stirring with a spatula after each burst.
  • Chop the nuts and cranberries.
  • Chop the apricots into small pieces using scissors – they make life easier as the apricots tend to stick to a chopping knife.
  • Place the matzah sheet on a board and spread thickly with the white chocolate. Then sprinkle it with the apricots, cranberries and pistachio nuts.
  • Refrigerate until the chocolate has set.
  • Cut or break into shards.
Ingredients

1 sheet matzah
80g white chocolate
20g cranberries
35g dried apricots
15g pistachios, shelled
