Marc Magid believes his cocktail of young and old can keep shooting South Manchester Sports 2nd up the MJSL table.
Magid’s men have blown hot and cold so far but they found their feet to stun Haroldeans.
While South Manchester Sports 2nd have assembled a young side, veteran Jack Rowe ran the show from midfield.
Rowe – among three older players in the youthful side – netted twice in a man-of-the-match display.
Josh Darcy and Harry Nelson also netted during a second-half super show.
Magid said: "This was the first time we have had a full strength squad and it showed. There is a good mix here. We have the attitude and determination of the young players. To compliment that we have the experience and guile of some of our older players.
"Haroldeans are a strong team but some of our play was a joy to watch.
"It’s still early days for us but I feel we have some quality here that will be the envy of some teams."
Haroldeans netted via Dave Killey and Alistair Goldsmith.
