Jonny Cohen, the manager of the Maccabi GB Futsal team, praised youngsters Scott Kashket and Sam Sollosi following a series of excellent displays on Matchday Four of the National Futsal League Southern Division Two.

Maccabi took seven points from a possible 12 at the University of East London’s Sportsdock arena, Kashkett (2), Russell Goldstein and Ben Sollosi helped Maccabi make a winning start as they came from behind to beat Reading Futsal 6-5.

A poor performance followed as Maccabi were beaten 4-2 by second-place Gloucester Futsal Revolution. Jamie Wolfson and Kashkett were the scorers for Maccabi.

The signs looked ominous in match three as Maccabi went 3-0 down against league leaders Kaunas. But a second-half double from Kashkett plus one from David Leiwy saw them come away with a draw. Sam Sollosi and Kashkett featured prominently in the comeback against strong eastern European opposition.
