In June last year, Yossi Benayoun revealed that he would love to finish his career in America. He described a move to the MLS as one of his "favourite options" before signing a loan deal with QPR.

In a week where he scored twice and also saw red, I’m sure the Israeli is keeping very close tabs on the Beckham-revolution in Miami. One last big pay-day would make sense for a player that may not be able to cut it should the Hoops clinch a return to the Premier Division next season.

Given the huge Jewish population in Miami, the 25,000 seater-venue would be smack bang in the tourist area and fans could flock to games before hopping on to a cruise.

It sounds like a match made in heaven as his signature would pull in the crowds, boost merchandise sales and we may even see chicken soup and lockshen and some smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels on the menu.
