* Another man with the American bug is Simon Corney who says he will resign as owner of Oldham Athletic if the team is relegated.
A draw at Leyton Orient boosted their hopes of staying up, but Corney said there will be no excuses if they drop into League 2.
"I would consider it a personal failure and would have little option other than to fall on my sword," said Corney who spends much of his time in the States through work commitments.
"I would step down and seriously consider handing the club to the supporters who would have to ensure it ran within its means."

The midfield maestro came on for the last few minutes of Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat at Burnley, but he hasn’t started for the past five games.
"It’s frustrating for me, but that’s just the way it goes," Furman said. "If the gaffer feels that the travelling’s taking it out of me, and he wants to go with someone else, I have to accept that decision. I have to make sure I’m ready and available for selection whenever he needs me."
* Maccabi GB Scotland are looking for players to represent them in Open Football at the 2015 European Maccabi Games in Scotland.
