EURO 2012 Israel began a new era under Frenchman Luis Fernandez with four points from its opening two matches in the Euro 2012 qualifiers.

A 3-1 victory over Malta was followed by a goalless draw in Georgia to leave them second in Group F behind Croatia on goal difference.

Captain Yossi Benayoun looked to the positives from the stalemate in Tblisi. "This was the kind of game we would have lost in the past against a poor team who were playing better than us. Now we face Croatia. They will be favourites but we can win."
