Westdene 3rd clinched part one of a possible league and cup double after beating Manchester Maccabi 5th 5-1 to land the Division One title. Ben Rose (2), Saul Ross and Adam Clarke were among the scorers for Steve Davis’s men who play in the Tony Cohen Cup final in a fortnight.

The race for promotion is also hotting up. Crumpsall 1st returned to second spot after beating Crumpsall 2nd 5-0. Mark Friedman was the star man, scoring a hat trick. Yossi Saunders and Aron Clayton finished the job.

In the Premier Division, a seven-goal thriller saw South Manchester Maccabi 2nd edge out bottom of the table Westdene North Manchester KD 4-3. Jonny Pressman (2), Dave Hamlet and Fraser Woolf were on target.
