Jaimie Wimborne set a personal best time of 23:59 to win the GHS Time Trial Regional qualifier.
Riding for Watford Velo, Wimborne, 16, produced an average time of 25.02mph over the 10 miles circular course West of Windsor to win by 35 seconds
The victory - from a mixed field of 20 – secures automatic qualification for Wimborne at the National GHS finals in September.
Hillingdon Slipstreamers, the event organisers, reported Wimborne’s “Ride of the Day,” saying he “managed to sustain a 25mph average over an uneasy undulating course”.
He pulled out a very credible time, putting a 15-second and 30-second advantage respectively over his nearest rivals.”
Guy Elyahou of London Phoenix CC overcame illness to achieve a personal best of 12.3 seconds. (58.6kph) for the 200m flying start event of the GB Masters Track Championships in the Newport Velodrome.
The previous days racing also affected his other placings with just 8th in the 750m Sprint (56.5s) and the 15Km (48kph) Scratch Race.
Seven team members Israel’s Cycling Academy Team (CAT) were in Canada for the six-stage Tour de Beaunce in and around Quebec, home of the team’s Canadian Road Champion, Guillame Boivin.
A serious crash in the first stage just 150 metres from the finish brought him down when leading the race, fracturing his collarbone.
A breakaway group of five riders had lead the race for much of the 185km stage which was won by Academy star Mihkel Raim, assisted by team-mates Dan Craven and Guy Sagiv.
Luis Lemus, now recovered from his early season crash, was runner-up in the 170Km stage two in 4hrs.15:32. Nicknamed the Team’s ‘Viking, Raim claimed his second stage win on the shortened stage four in 1:36:38.
