HMH Purple Under 13s also completed part one of a possible double when they overcame HISHU to lift the Orion Challenge Cup. A hat-trick from Adam Ellis and one from Samuel Leader saw them run out emphatic winners. Rafi Terespolsky netted for HISHU.

The Under 15 Challenge Cup was decided by a round robin. Consistency was the name of the game for league leaders HISHU who won all three games and did not concede. Victories over Alyth Belsize and Hendon Hawks were complemented by a 1-0 success over Alyth in the final. David Ullman fired the matchwinner.

MPL chairman Laurence Thorne said: "The standard of football was excellent and bearing in mind the size of the pitch at the ground, the Under 11s did very well to cope with it. The experience is something all the players will remember forever. All the teams involved displayed tremendous spirit and fair play.

"We hope to have many more years ahead of playing Jewish junior football, culminating with their cup finals being played at this great stadium."
