Alex Ullmann is determined to use Crumpsall’s sensational defeat of champions Manchester Maccabi 3rd as the blueprint for his success.
Leeds Maccabi 3rd boss Ullmann was blown away by Crumpsall’s stunning victory after Zevi Saunders’ side claimed their first win of the campaign.
Leeds face Crumpsall at Roundhay on Sunday aiming to break their duck in this season’s MJSL after defeat against South Manchester 2nd left them with just one point from a possible 18.
But Ullmann is remaining positive and says Crumpsall’s recent success should act as an inspiration when the teams go head-to-head this weekend.
“When we looked at the fixture list last Sunday morning the Crumpsall game looked like a lot easier,” said Ullmann.
“Now they’ve beaten Maccabi so comprehensively it’s looking a lot harder but that should drive us on.
“They went and got their first win and there’s no reason why we can’t do similar on Sunday.
“We’re ready for the game. The standard of our play has been so much better than it was at the start of the season.
“Our commitment has improved, we’re scoring goals and the boys are learning they need to be more physical in this division.
“Everything’s improved and hopefully with home advantage on Sunday we can do the business.”
Rafi Kaye and Joseph Jackson both found the net against South Manchester 2nd and Ullmann is thrilled with his side’s new found attacking intent.
He added: “We’re scoring more goals and looking more threatening now.
“We’re also defending a lot better and we just need to improve some of the play in the midfield.
“I’m just thrilled with the progress we’re making and hopefully that will continue.”
