Haviv Ohayon expressed delighted after joining Watford on a one-year loan deal from Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The Israeli under-19 goalkeeper sealed his move on deadline day and his club will receive a loan fee of €100,000. Watford will have an option to sign Ohayon next summer for €2.5 million.
Ohayon, who signed a five-year contract with Maccabi last month on his 18th birthday, will play for the Watford under-21 team during the 2016/17 season. He holds a Romanian passport meaning were no work permit issues.
Ohayon said: "I want to thank everybody at Maccabi for helping me develop as a goalkeeper and especially sports director Jordi Cruyff who has let me promote career in England.
"I believe in my ability to remain here at Watford and I'll work hard to prove that. My father always taught me that after every achievement you must work even harder to earn the next achievement."

The player flew to England on Wednesday with his agent Avi Nimni and successfully underwent a medical but the final negotiations went on until close to midnight and the closing of the transfer window with Maccabi unsuccessfully pressing to sell the player outright.
Cruyff said: "We are pleased for Haviv as we didn’t want to let him miss out on this opportunity of going out for one year to test himself in the country which has one of the best leagues in the world.
"Training on a weekly basis amongst the best could benefit Haviv, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Israeli football."
Scott Kashket has joined Wycombe Wanderers after being released by Leyton Orient.
Kashket, who is 22 and made 22 appearances, agreed to terminate his contract with immediate effect.
