Uefa lifts Israel ban

Israel can host matches on home soil again following Uefa's decision to lift their ban.

Eli Guttman's team were due to open their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign against Belgium earlier this month, but the match was postponed due to the security situation.

But with the ceasefire holding, Uefa secretary general Gianni Infantino said: "This ban has been lifted due to the improved situation."

Uefa Executive Committee member and former Israel FA Chairman Avi Luzon said: "I promised to bring matches back to the country to boost Israeli football and the national team and that's happened.
