MAL consolidated their position at the top of the Maccabi Sunday League, with a three-wicket against Belmont & Edgware.

Lively spells from Yoav Lebens and Tony Wise accounted for Alex Ziff and Simon Durban. Daniel Geey joined Warren Averbuch with the score on 16-2, and set about a rebuilding job.

Geey (33) was removed by left-arm spinner Grant Traub but several overs of carnage from master blaster Richie Weinburg kept BECC in the game. His innings of 62 came from only 27 balls, featuring five sixes and four boundaries.

Aided by skipper Ryan Monk, the score moved to 164 but good death bowling from Simon Levy and Mark Landau saw the hosts finish on 197-8.
