Jonathan Erlich says Israel has a tough task after being drawn away to the winners of the Portugal and Slovenia tie in the second round of the Davis Cup Europe/Africa Group 1.
As one of the four seeded teams in the Group, Israel was handed a bye in the first round and will play the second round tie over the weekend of April 4 next year.
This is the fourth consecutive away draw handed to an Israel team relegated from the World Group in September after losing 3-2 to Belgium.
Like Israel, both Portugal and Slovenia have one player in the top 100 and the games will be evenly balanced.
Doubles specialist Jonathan Erlich said: "It's very disappointing to be drawn away again. Both teams have excellent players and will be tough to beat."
