Football Glenthorne United A, London Maccabi Lions B and South Mancunians joined Faithfold in the semi-finals of the Henry Swerner Maccabi Masters Cup, sponsored by Tux’n’Tails, after claiming victories in the quarters.
Four goals from Sid Shaw helped Glenthorne thump EDRS Stonegrove 6-2. Greg Morris and Jason Levy finished the job. Phil Silver and Mark Kingston replied.
Lions B beat Glenthorne B 4-1 courtesy of strikes from Stuart Coutts (2), Paul Wise and Elliot Most. Glenthorne pulled one back from the penalty spot through Ray Russell who had a second effort kept out by Lions keeper Darren Zeller.
Jon Cohen (2) and Mark Powell earned South Mancunians a 3-0 win over Temple Fortune B.
Goals from Alan Fineman, Geoff Green and John Seigal steered Ashlodge to a 3-0 success over Clayhall Park Casuals B.
This weekend, Division One leaders North London Raiders visit EDRS.
