London Lions are joint-top of the Herts County Premier League Premier Division following a 3-1 victory at newly promoted Croxley Guild.
Tony Gold’s men notched up their third straight win, courtesy of goals from Daniel Levenfiche, Adam Stolerman and Ben Lauffer.
Lions dominated the first half and were duly rewarded on 19 minutes when great work from Lee Cash allowed
Levenfiche to slide in at the far post.
They doubled their advantage on 35 minutes when Daniel Cole and Cash combined for Stolerman to produce a ruthless finish.
The visitors killed off the game midway through the second half. Daniel Stanton’s long-range free-kick crashed against the bar but the ball fell to Lauffer who headed home. Croxley claimed a late consolation.
The victory followed an excellent 3-2 win over last season’s champions Met Police Bushey. Two goals from man-of-the-match Lee Cash and one from Adam Stolerman wrapped up a hard-fought win, capped by a penalty save from keeper Matt Davis.
