Richard Fogelman has put every Maccabi Masters League team on red alert with his recent announcement that he will be plying his trade with the older boys this season.

After a staggering 42 goals in 16 matches for L'Equipe last season in the MGBSFL, the 2014/15 golden boot winner and Division Three player of the year is hot property.

Fogelman was recently spotted eating his favourite schnitzel in Mill Hill Park cafe and JC Sport managed to get a few words from him: "I had an agreement with my wife that the recent birth of our second son would result in me hanging up my boots for the forthcoming season," he said. "I have somewhat gone back on my word and decided to play masters which I see as a compromise due to games being played every other week."

Front-runners for his signature include Waldaf Town. Fogelman not only has a few good friends in this team, but "anyone knows a Waldorf salad is the perfect accompaniment for any shnitzel". There is the prospect of him forming a strike partnership with Alex Bourne and there is no doubt that a shnitzel-Bourne wrap could get messy for any defence.
