Fresh from his success at the Special Olympics, Ross Rose, 8, has set his sights on competing at the 2012 Games in London.
A dramatic rise to the top has surprised the youngster who started riding at Penniwells Rising for the Disabled Association aged two.
Rose, who has autism, almost quit the discipline last year but his parents, Janet and Stewart, persuaded him to continue. Inspired by the GB Paralympic equestrian team competing in Beijing, he entered the Regional RDA Dressage in Dartford and victory cemented his passage into next month’s National RDA competition in Gloucestershire.
