Catford were then awarded another penalty, which Team described as "debatable" - this time for handball and the shot was safely tucked home to make it 2-1 to the visitors.
Team drew levelled in style as Lassman arrived to meet Blake Buckman’s perfect 45-yard centre.
Josh Kaye then got on the end of Ben Graham’s corner to make it 3-2 just before half time.
Adam Stollerman sealed the points in the 70th minute slotting past the goalkeeper on his debut.
FC Team player-manager David Gordon told JC Sport: "Overall I’m pleased to start off with three points. We started the game excellently but found ourselves behind from two quite awful refereeing decisions. But credit to the boys who picked themselves up and turned the game around.
"Catford are a decent side, and they never gave up and made life difficult for us in the second half. We were the better team on the day and deserved to win, but it’s pleasing and exciting knowing that we can still improve and get even better."
