JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
- SAM ROSE (NL Raiders C) - "We saw the cameras pre-match and wanted to show RCUK what we were made of. They knew they were facing a different Raiders to earlier in the season, but I’m not sure they were expecting this performance. We were. We’ve got a fantastic attitude in this group now and have an identity and a style that we want to play in and I think next season will hold great things for you. If I were you, I’d ask RCUK for the highlights reel"
- JOSH DAGUL (Brady Maccabi) - "It was a superb effort from the boys today and although we lost we can be proud of our performance. We had a game-plan and stuck to it. Unfortunately we had a 20-minute spell at the end of the first half that cost us. Other than that we were excellent and have plenty of positives to take into next weeks' game against Redbridge. Good luck to the Masters in the next round"
- DAN SHAFRON (NL Raiders A) - "I'm frustrated by two things. Firstly, I wasn't there to see it and secondly, I missed what I have been told was one of the most incredible hattricks scored by Jonny Kay!"
- RAY ABRAHAMS (Scrabble FC) - "I am so proud of the effort the lads put in to win this one against a very good side who must have felt gutted to lose in the dying moments but Blancos deserve all the credit for a terrific performance against us and they are a great bunch of guys who play the game the right way"
- DAN KRISTALL (Oakwood A) - QUOTE 1 - "We now focus on our tough run in that begins in March. We know how difficult the three games will be but we have the momentum and we will prepare well over the coming weeks and although in the mean time the results of our title challengers games could prove vital, we have the opportunity to control our own fate and that is a strong position to be in"
- DAN KRISTALL (Oakwood A) - QUOTE 2 - "Our keeper Jacko only touched the ball with his hands once and that was when he picked up the ball out of his net after a debatable penalty midway through the second half. He must have been as cold as us on the touchline"
- AVI MARKIEWICZ (RC UK FC) - "So yet again we go from beating a prem team to losing to a team in our division. We knew this time around that Raiders would be up for it and when we lined up against them we hardly recognised a single player from the last game"
- SAM RANK (Redbridge JC B) - "After the game ref Andy Myerson was spotted asking for Daniel Bean's autograph. He has never seen a short CM, outmuscle, outrun and out tackle players like it. He is the N'Golo Kanté of Jewish football"
- JONATHAN ADELMAN (NL Raiders B) - "Having now played all the top sides in the division it will be fascinating to see which of Redbridge, Lions, Finchley and Scrabble lift the title. As for us, I'm looking forward to a pre-season where we get our injured players fit and hopefully we can up the commitment levels so we can field broadly the same group each week. If we can do that I think we stand a good chance of challenging next season"
- NICK GROSSE (Los Blancos) - "You could list all the expletives in the urban bible and that still wouldn't come close to describing how bad the lads felt after the game"

PETER MORRISON TROPHY ROUND FOUR
MACCABI LONDON LIONS MASTERS 4 BRADY MACCABI 2
A deadly double from Adam Stolerman helped Lions Masters march into the next round as they put Premier Division Brady Maccabi to the sword.
Victors over holders Hendon United in the previous round, the Masters led 3-1 at the break, with defender Adam Myeroff adding to the tally.
And a second-half strike from David Soutar confirmed their passage into the next round.
Reiss Mogilner struck twice for Brady and missed out on a hat-trick after missing a penalty.
Lions boss Dan Jacobs told JC Sport: "Brady were a very decent young side, especially with the ball. But across the pitch, once the game settled, I think we were just that bit sharper. They scored on the break but from there we were the dominant side and should really have scored several more. Their keeper had a fine game to be fair."
Brady joint-manager Josh Dagul told JC Sport: "It was a superb effort from the boys today and although we lost we can be proud of our performance. We had a game-plan and stuck to it. Unfortunately we had a 20-minute spell at the end of the first half that cost us. Other than that we were excellent and have plenty of positives to take into next weeks' game against Redbridge. Good luck to the Masters in the next round."
DC Prediction: Lions 2 Brady 0

OAKWOOD A 5 FC TEAM A 1
Two goals from Zack Collins helped table-toppers Oakwood stretch their lead at the summit to seven points, registering their 12th league win after outclassing FC Team 5-1 in St. Albans.
Further strikes from David Woolman, Leor Sidle and an own goal secured the points.
FC Team's consolation came via player-manager Mitch Young.
Oakwood joint-manager Dan Kristall told JC Sport: "This was a fairly straightforward victory in a match that I think we would have struggled in earlier in the season (and in fact we did drop points at their place), but we have found a way to be more clinical and unbelievably strong at the back. We are a different side to the one that started the season."
DC Prediction: Oakwood 4 FC Team 0

SPEC FC 0 NORTH LONDON RAIDERS A 12

Further strikes from David Dinkin (2), Nick Lewis (2), David Cohen (2), Ben Ellis and an own goal sealed SPEC's fate.
NLR manager Dan Shafron told JC Sport: "Results like today are often seen as a freak and whilst we can enjoy this win, we need to stay focused on some big games to come."
SPEC FC player-manager Ricky Lawrence told JC Sport: "There are simply no words. Credit to Raiders though, they were very good."

Rafi Kon replied for Finchley.
Delighted RJC boss Sam Rank told JC Sport: "The boys were brilliant today. The back five were immense and the central midfielders worked their socks off today, especially Daniel Bean."
Finchley boss Joel Holder told JC Sport: "We had a very depleted squad available today against Redbridge which ultimately cost us."
DC Prediction: Redbridge 2 Finchley 1

MACCABI LONDON LIONS B 5 NORTH LONDON RAIDERS B 1
A Dean Rosenthal double kept Lions B three points clear as they produced one of the results of the day, crushing title rivals Raiders B 5-1.
Ben Winters, Benji Weinberger and super-sub Michael Kenley completed an outstanding performance from Sam Marchant's men.
Will Ufland fired a consolation for an NLR team missing 12 regulars.
Delighted Lions boss Sam Marchant told JC Sport: “What started off looking like a tough morning became less-so as the time went on and today was a big victory for us. We have super-tough fixtures coming our way and we need to be prepared to keep our hopes of promotion alive."
NLR boss Jonathan Adelman told JC Sport: "I'm very pleased with some of the football we played, especially considering we were missing a dozen players, and during the game we picked up knocks with no subs to replace the injured."
DC Prediction: Lions 2 Raiders 1

LOS BLANCOS 3 SCRABBLE FC 4
Scrabble FC boosted their title hopes, but only after an almighty scare against improving Los Blancos.
Adam Waters gave Scrabble a half-time lead before the teams shared six second-half goals, with Danny Sherman, Sam Stead and Josh Bharier clinching the points.
Mitch Green (2) and Adam Hersh replied for Blancos.
Relieved Scrabble boss Ray Abrahams told JC Sport: "We've got six cup finals from now to the end of the season and after today's results it looks like a three horse race for the title. We will give it everything in every game and see where it takes us."

RC UK FC 2 NORTH LONDON RAIDERS C 4
ALEX ELF's hat-trick ensured RC UK FC's promotion hopes were dealt a major blow after they suffered a second consecutive victory by going down to Raiders C.
Liam Stein added the gloss on a memorable morning for Sam Rose's men, capped off by a penalty save from Tony Plaskow.
Moishe Lewis bagged a brace for RC UK.
Rose told JC Sport: "We saw the camera’s pre-match and wanted to show RCUK what we were made of. They knew they were facing a different Raiders to earlier in the season, but I’m not sure they were expecting this performance. We were. We’ve got a fantastic attitude in this group now and have an identity and a style that we want to play in and I think next season will hold great things for you. If I were you, I’d ask RCUK for the highlights reel.”
RC UK player-manager Avi Markiewicz told JC Sport: "In our desperate attempt to get all square a mistake cost us and we were left to wonder what would and could have been."
DC Prediction: RC UK 4 Raiders 2

CATFORD & BROMLEY MACCABI 2 BOCA JEWNIORS 0
Catford & Bromley claimed their sixth league win of the season after beating Boca 2-0, with efforts from Joel Lassman and Ashley Stokes.
Cats boss Jeff Gotch told JC Sport: "It wasn't pretty but it was pretty comfortable. That's three wins in four now and if we can continue the form till end of the season - with Redbridge, RC UK and Fortune away all still to come - win them and who knows how high we can get."
Boca's Anton Nyman told JC Sport: "A ridiculous first-half penalty went against us for the craziest handball decision you'll ever see. We fought hard till the end but couldn't get the better of them."
DC Prediction: Catford 4 Boca 1
---------------------
---------------------
MILL HILL DONS 1 HERTSWOOD VALE 4
Goals from Harry Graham, Elio Elia, Josh Cohen and man-of-the-match James Millet inspired Vale to their first league win of the season.
Ryan Kramer fired a consolation for the Dons.
Jubilant Hertswood joint-manager Jacob Emanuel told JC Sport: "This was an absolutely perfect team performance. Although our attacking players will get a lot of the credit, a super defensive display, specifically from Ashley Hirschberger and captain Josh wood ensured keeper Jack Shulman had little to do."
DC Prediction: Dons 4 Hertswood 3

TEMPLE FORTUNE 4 REAL HENDON 4
Temple Fortune's failed to close the gap on runaway leaders L'Equipe after an eight-goal thriller against Real Hendon in Pinner.
Real's goals came via player-manager Chaim Gothold, Benny Slukis and two own goals.
Fortune's goals came via Mike Woolf, David Sawyer, Gab Stone and top-scorer Jordan Sharifian.
Gothold told JC Sport: "It was a tough game in difficult conditions. A draw probably a fair result."
Fortune boss Simon Linden, who missed the match, told JC Sport: "I'm gutted we didn't win but the lads did well to recover as well as they did, by all accounts. We've had two very hard games against Real, even so I see it as two points dropped in our quest to challenge at the top."

MIDWEEK REVIEW
FAITHFOLD B 2 MACCABI LONDON LIONS UNDER-21's 7
Lions U21's set up a quarter-final clash against Lions A after finishing in seventh heaven against Faithfold B.
A spirited Lions team came together and put on another fine display. The youthful side put seven past what manager Joe Zender described as "a physical Faithfold team who saw themselves tiring as the game went on."
A brace from defender Kramer was a season highlight, with goals also coming from Josh Burns, Jamie Cohen and Max Kyte.
Jack Mattey added two more to his impressive cup tally, including beating the Faithfold keeper direct from a free-kick from the halfway - "a moment of pure genius".
Zender told JC Sport: "The young side look forward to taking on the Men's A-team in the next round and hope they can continue the run of form."
