Errol Hornstein, head of delegation of Maccabi Scotland, was proud of his 11-man team after they brought home three silvers from the European Maccabi Games in Vienna.
Bernard Cohen, the former chairman of Maccabi Scotland, Ory Lovat, David Edelman and Londoner Joey Carr helped the team take silver in the Open Handicap.
Dan Silver and Matthew Ross finished runners-up in the Junior Boys Doubles badminton final while Tonny Mann was second in the badminton Plate competition.
Hornstein believes that just sending a delegation to the European Maccabi Games was worthy of a medal.
"We've taken a delegation to the EMG since 1995 in Amsterdam and in 2009 we took part in the Maccabiah Games as Scotland for the first time. We want to be able to compete and all our athletes did.
"I'm particularly delighted that we got a junior badminton squad here. I hope they go home and get their friends involved so there can be a snowball effect. It's all about keeping the kids involved.
"We were very happy with the organisation of the Games. The transport and venues ran very efficiently.
Golfer Bernard Cohen said: "The course was unbelievable. It was very tough but in fabulous condition. There was not a blade of grass out of place."
Looking ahead to future events, Cohen added: "The economic climate makes fundraising for these events increasingly difficult. We feel that the EMG is more doable. There is a growing fear that we could be priced out of future Maccabiah Games."
