South Manchester stormed into the semi-finals of the NJCL Twenty20 with a 168-run victory over an eight-man Bury & Whitefield.
The big-hitting Akiva Lieberman took eight balls to reach his retirement figure of 30, while Maccabiah rugby silver medalist Mike Filson took nine balls. South smashed 71 runs from the five powerplay overs.
Bury did well to restrict them to 192 as it looked like 250 was on the cards.
In reply, Bury notched up the required 10 runs an over of the first over but were eventually were bowled out for 34. Only Zevi Saunders (13) reached double figures.
Leeds Maccabi were awarded victory against Sedgley who were unable to raise a team.
