South Manchester stormed back from two down to take a point in a six-goal thriller against Mace.
South, who had earlier trailed 2-0 and 3-1, might have even won the game late on had the referee awarded what looked like a stonewall penalty following a foul on Harvey Kaye.
The home side had started brightly but an injury to Mark Stewart appeared to affect South’s rhythm.
And Mace took advantage by roaring into a two-goal lead as South tried to readjust.
Bobby Abrams halved the deficit after 30 minutes, but Mace restored their two-goal lead before their break following a lapse in concentration from the home defence.
South piled on the pressure after the interval and Marc Yaffe rounded off a flowing move to reduce the deficit before Adam Lavin fired home an equaliser from the penalty spot.
The hosts pushed on in search of a dramatic winner and felt they should have been given the chance to score from the spot after Kaye was fouled inside the penalty area.
But the referee waved away the appeals as South were made to settle for a point.
