Sollosi hits four as RJC A all but secure title - The Jewish Chronicle

Going into their last game of the season, RJC knew with a win against Galaxy would as good as secure the title (unless Fairlop FC wins their last match by an 23-0 goal swing), and, boosted by the appearance of Sollosi brothers Nathan and Sam - they did not disappoint.

The game settled down after a cagey 15 minutes, with RJC starting to take control of the game, winning the midfield battle and the Sollosi boys dominanting.

The first goal soon came after a great exchange play involving Dean Nyman, James Berkley, Sam Sollosi and Dean Ben Yosef, and the move was finished off by Nathan Sollosi with a competent finish to put RJC A 1-0 up.

The second goal followed shortly, with great play on the left wing by Sam Sollosi who fed the deadly Nathan Sollosi on the edge of the bow, and let fly with a rocket grenade arrowing and swerving shot into the bottom corner leaving the Galaxy keeper who no chance.

At this stage RJC A were completely in control, and they extended their lead with another well-worked move. RJC A broke with Scott McKenzie, and the ball was fed into Sam Sollosi who released Nathan Sollosi. A one-two followed with his brother before Nathan whipped in his hat-trick goal with a controlled finish. It was a move straight out of the Sollosi back garden!

The message from half-time was to "keep the intensity, mentality and attitude and the game will woudl be won".

RJC A took their foot of the gas a little bit in the second half, and Galaxy scored a well hit 25 yarder from Zac Rose, to briefly get back in the game.

But the visitors restored their healthy advantage when talented talisman Nathan Sollosi got his fourth, with "another absolute worldy".

RJC closed the game with a fifth goal - this time Sam Sollosi converted with another well-worked move between the RJC A midfield and attack. The ball being played to Sam, who twisted and turn and then finished emphatically into the bottom corner.

RJC A had numerous chances to extend the scoreline but they closed out the game with an extremely professional performance and in doing so, look to have brought the title back to Redbridge Jewish Care.

A jubilant Rank told JC Sport: "The RJC boys were asked to show their mental strength, attitude and let abilities shine, and they achieved this and more.

"With MGBFSL Division One title virtually won, this could not have been possible without the backroom set-up and structure at Redbridge Jewish Care. The efforts of both Jon Jacobs and Richard Bronzite are much appreciated.

"A very big shout to the management team of RJC A - the time and effort Johan Simberg, Richard Stern and Richie Caplin put in has been phenomenal. They are all a pleasure to work with.

"The dedication that the RJC A boys put in is second to none. Their commitment to the club and team for training and games is fantastic, and these boys deserves this title so much. To win a league title being unbeaten says it all."

RJC and local rivals Fairlop took the race to the wire, but only a dramatic shift in goal difference in Fairlo's last game against Galaxy will stop RJC's celebrations. Rank went on to say: "Our noisy neighbours Fairlop pushed us all the way, but today they have been silenced and the better team has won the league. We look forward to continuing the rivalry in the Premier Division.

"It was very pleasing to see the Sollosi brothers back in RJC A shirts today. The quality these boys bring in is world class.

"The end of season party has been booked, and boys are now ready to celebrate in style.

"With RJC B also pushing for there title in league, hopefully this will bring two titles to the RJC cabinet."
