Six-goal Nyman leads Bayern a merry dance

However, the game eventually settled down and RJC looked very dangerous when getting the ball to Steve Summers, Nate Kashket and Nyman - playing in his second game back following a lengthy sabbatical.

The visitors opened the scoring after 13 minutes when great hold-up play by Summers was followed by a tidy lay-off to predator Nyman who produced a sensational and emphatic finish from edge of the 18-yard box into the bottom corner.

RJC doubled their lead on the half hour mark when a fantastic counter-attack, which was started and finished by James Berkley, saw great work in-between by Kashket, Nyman and Summers.

It was 3-0 on the 40 minutes when more great play by the front three saw Nyman this time assisting Kashket, who displayed great technique in his touch for the goal.

At half-time the RJC management team still felt that there was room for improvement and that the team "were not playing to potential".

RJC increased the tempo and killed the game off in the second half. A fourth goal arrived 10 minutes into the second half when Kashket whipped a free-kick into the box. Nyman showed great awareness and intelligence by dummying the ball which outfoxed the Bayern backline and flew into the back.

The final 30 minutes where all about the Dean Nyman. First, great pressure by Carl Dobrin, who won the ball high up the pitch, saw him show great composure to deliver a pinpoint ball to Nyman at the back post  who could not miss.

RJC then went to 6-0 ahead when great work from Dan Adleman saw him win possession and release a great through ball to Nyman, who finished clinically to complete his hat trick.

The scoreline soon became 7-0 when outstanding work by left-back Richard Gold saw him drive forward and play a delicious pass to Nyman, who once again finished brilliantly.

There was now a sense of resignation on the faces of the Bayern players, but RJC showed them no mercy. Their eighth goal was all about technique as Kashket picked up the ball on the left and played an outrageous arrowed pass to predator Nyman, who showed great composure to finish.

Then the icing on cake, Nyman completed his double hat-trick following great work from his strike partners, with Nate Kashket once again setting up the extremely impressive Nyman to finish another good move.

RJC A will take many positives from the performance, but joint-manager Sam Rank believes "the most encouraging is we can still play better than we did". He noted the team "hadn’t trained for three or four weeks and this was shown at times".

Rank went on to salute his front men "who were very impressive," and he expressed delight to see Nyman back in goals. "Deano came back to make headlines and this will be the first of many".

So once again sitting pretty at the top of the table, Rank told JC Sport: "With the big game against Fairlop next week, I could not have asked for a better result. Now it's time to get back to training field and prepare to beat Fairlop."

Paying tribute to the mercurial Nyman, Rank went on to say: "A lot of young boys would've watched Alan Shearer, Gabriel Batistuta and Gary Linker when they were younger, and watched exhibitions of their finishing. Watching Dean Nyman was no different. Just an overall world-class performance."

There was still time for some mind games, and Rank added: "Fairlop captain Bradley Gayer will need to get his chequebook out as he's already losing the Twitter bet – Nyman vs Gayer total goals. Sadly there is no cashout.

"And after having a long discussion with RJC keeper Dean Caplin – he wanted to add a Brazilian flavour into his distribution. Was a complete copycat of Ederson performance. Extremely impressed.
