Highgate & Muswell Hill Under 18 were top of the shocks after they dumped Premier Division London Maccabi Lions B out of the Peter Morrison Trophy with a 3-2 victory at Rowley Lane.

Avishai Kestenbaum (2) plus one from Josh Hirschowitz set up a second round clash against North West Neasden B for the youngest team in the competition. Jonathan Green bagged a brace for the Lions but it was not enough to stop the Watford Friendly League outfit.

“The boys were fantastic, out of this world,” said HMH manager Malcolm Laster. “We played very well and, if anything, I believe the scoreline flattered the Lions. I probably won’t get another performance like that out of them for a long time.”

The weekend’s other shock saw Division Four new boys UJS Norstar B overcome Zig Zag thanks to a strike from Maurice Franks.
