Shahar Peer has moved up to a career high of 13 in the latest WTA rankings.

Peer climbed five places after reaching the semi-finals of the China Open in Beijing where she lost 5-7, 2-6 to world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark. Peer, 23, reached 14 earlier this year and believes that it is a matter of time before she achieves her target of reaching the word's top 10.

Peer said: "It's clear that I can get there. There is no big difference between me and the top 10 players, many of whom I've beaten several times, especially over the past year. I feel I'm on the rise both physically and mentally and that's a result of my hard work."

"Sport is always about ups and downs but the magic word for me is stability if I want to stay at the top. It's difficult to get to the top but even more difficult to stay there. You have to win at the biggest tournaments week in and week out. But I've learned a lot about myself and I know what I'm worth."
