Dudi Sela is on course to qualify for the Rio Olympics after winning his 20th Challenger title in Shenzhen.
The Israeli beat China's Di Wu (175) 6-4, 6-3 in the final and did not drop a set throughout the tournament.
The win in China has lifted Sela, 30, to 67 in the world rankings, his highest position in two years.
This week Sela has an opportunity to boost his ranking further as the second seed in the Israel Open Challenger tournament in Ra'anana.
He said: "Challenger tournaments have been an important part of my career and they are not so easy to win.
"After reaching the third round of the Australian Open, I lost five ATP matches in a row, so I returned to the Challengers to get my confidence back.
"I have reached two ATP finals in my career and I believe I am still capable of winning an ATP tournament."
